| 2009-08-12 | Sustainability Claims Guidelines released - GreenerPackage.com has released the Greener Package Guidelines to Sustainability Claims, a resource developed by EPI to aid packaging suppliers in using acceptable marketing claims and avoiding greenwashing. The document is intended as a resource for suppliers who wish to list and market their packaging materials in the Greener Package database. | 2009-05-18 | EPI and Greenerpackage.com - EPI has recently joined the efforts of the newly launched Greener Package.com website. This site offers news, information, a discussion forum, and a marketplace for companies interested in more environmentally sustainable packaging. EPI is participating in the site in several ways: First, Victor Bell is on the Greener Package advisory board, and EPI has been selected to be part of the expert network contributing to current debates around packaging. In addition, EPI is partnering with PKG, to review packaging claims submitted as part of the Greenerpackage.com database. | 2009-01-22 | EPI to hold Walmart Packaging Scorecard training in Brussels on March 19, 2009 - EPI and the Walmart Packaging Scorecard software developer, ECRM, have developed a Sustainable Packaging Scorecard training program for European suppliers to help companies in Europe learn how to efficiently enter packaging data into the scorecard and to be prepared for the upcoming scorecard international roll out. EPI is planning to host classroom training in Brussels , Belgium on March 19, 2009 in conjunction with Agra Informa's European Packaging Waste Law conference. The trainings will be held at the Crowne Plaza Europa Hotel. We encourage all European Walmart suppliers, who sell products to any Walmart location worldwide, to register. More details | |
