Overview of Requirements for Electrical & Electronic Products

Increasing concern about the safe management of a growing electronics waste stream is driving a trend toward regulation of electrical and electronic products. Most requirements focus on design and reduction of hazardous materials or the collection and recycling of end-of-life products, however the regulations vary widely in scope and approach. For example, some apply to only a few types of consumer products while others cover a wide range of consumer and business-to-business and industrial devices.

EPI's Approach

Compliance with electronics legislation requires coordination among company functions and effective supply chain management, along with detailed, consistent data collection. EPI can help you

  • Inventory requirements that apply to your business, product lines, or distribution channels
  • Assess current compliance status and identify any compliance gaps
  • Establish a comprehensive approach to manage compliance with applicable requirements across your divisions and supply chain
